The Signal-Processing Core of a Fiber Optic Measurement System

A fiber optic temperature transmitter or monitoring host receives optical signals from connected fluorescence probes, calculates temperature values and makes those values available through local indicators, alarm relays, analog outputs or digital communication.

These devices are system components rather than complete sensing systems. Fiber optic temperature probes and optical connections are selected separately for the measurement points and installation environment.
