This project applied fluorescence-based fiber optic temperature sensing to temperature measurement inside a university laboratory vacuum chamber.
Fiber optic probes were positioned at selected measurement locations inside the chamber, while optical fibers connected the sensing points to external temperature monitoring equipment.
The arrangement provides direct point temperature measurement through a non-conductive optical sensing path.
The experimental setup required temperature measurement at selected locations inside a vacuum chamber.
The sensing arrangement needed to fit within the available chamber space while allowing temperature signals to be transferred to monitoring equipment outside the test area.
Fiber optic temperature probes were used to provide compact point sensing with optical signal transmission between the internal measurement locations and the external instrument.
Fluorescence-based fiber optic probes measure temperature at defined sensing locations inside the chamber.
Each probe provides an independent point measurement, allowing different components or selected positions to be monitored separately.
Optical fibers transmit the measurement signals to the external temperature instrument without requiring electrical sensor wiring at the measurement points.
Fiber optic probes were positioned according to the required measurement locations within the vacuum chamber.
The optical fibers were routed between the sensing points and the external connection area while considering available space, bending radius and mechanical protection.
Probe structure, fiber length and routing arrangement can be selected according to the chamber layout and measurement requirements.
Signals from the installed fiber optic probes are collected by the external temperature monitoring instrument.
Individual sensing points can be assigned to separate channels so that temperatures at different chamber locations can be viewed independently.
For laboratory or test applications requiring additional measurement points, the monitoring configuration can be expanded according to the required channel count.
The completed arrangement provides direct fiber optic point temperature measurement at selected locations inside the university vacuum chamber.
Fiber optic probes, optical routing and external monitoring equipment form a complete measurement path from the internal sensing locations to the temperature acquisition interface.
The configuration provides a practical reference for vacuum chambers, laboratory test equipment and other controlled environments requiring compact and electrically isolated point temperature measurement.
